Dr. Mark Wiedenfeld

Dr. Mark Wiedenfeld

Dr. Mark Wiedenfeld is a therapeutic optometrist at Texas State Optical of Lufkin. He was raised in Longview but has called Lufkin his home since 1995. Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree as well as Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston.

Since arriving in Lufkin, Mark has become a glaucoma specialist, which includes treating and managing diseases of the eye. Mark is a 20-year member of Lion's Club and an active member of First United Methodist Church. He serves on the Board of the Angelina College Athletic Association.

Scott Broughton

Scott Broughton

Scott Broughton is a certified optician with Texas State Optical of Lufkin. He is a lifelong resident of Lufkin. He graduated from Lufkin High School and then went on to college at UT Austin. After graduating from UT Austin with a BBA, he returned to Lufkin to begin working for Rufus H. Duncan in the construction business.

In January 1983, he made the switch to Texas State Optical of Lufkin to work with his dad, Dr. A. E. Broughton. Scott became a certified optician in a short period of time, as well as the manager for Texas State Optical of Lufkin. In 1989, he opened an on-site surfacing lab and at present is the owner / manager of Texas State Optical of Lufkin.

Scott is married to Laura.  They have two grand kids, Hayes and Laken, from their daughter Allison and her husband Brian, and one grand kid, Kain, from their son Brandon and his wife Catherine.  Come by and see Scott and the staff at Texas State Optical of Lufkin for all of your optical needs.
